With Elena Gilbert going though transition and learning how to survive with control and a little help of bunny blood, Stefan Salvatore has found his hands completely full. His older brother, Damon, did not leave town as he promised, nor did he tell Stefan about Elena’s choice. With a little bit of compulsion, he erased the entire Founders Council’s memories of Alaric outing them, once again keeping all of the supernatural beings safe in Mystic Falls.


Bonnie Bennett, Caroline Forbes, and Matt Donavan have also been doing their fair share with keeping busy, trying their hardest not to think about their recently deceased best friend, Tyler Lockwood. With Bonnie randomly disappearing - working on her own agenda, and Matt’s silence due to grief, Caroline has found herself at the Salvatore’s more and more. She wants to be there for her best friend during the time of transition, but she also needs something to distract her from her thoughts.


A midst all of this mayhem, Klaus finally found a way - with the help of little Bonnie Bennett - to regain his true form, once again bringing his hybrids out of hiding and adding to their numbers with Elena’s stolen blood. But with all of these sire-bonds and stolen choices, the hybrids seem to be getting restless.
Unauthorized attacks are rising to the surface of this small town, bubbling up confusion and fear.


Things are not as they seem. Tyler Lockwood is very much alive. But he’s hiding, waiting for the day he can come out and tell his friends he was there the whole time. He’s been working with Bonnie Bennett, taking each hybrid, one by one, and teaching them all how to break the sire bond. With the bond gone, they can do what they want, and what they want is revenge on Klaus. And they’ll do anything to get it.
